At Synaptic Health, we believe mobility should be a possibility, not a privilege. That’s why we’re proud to be one of the first organizations in Canada to bring the XoMotion™ Exoskeleton into clinical practice—helping reshape the future of neuro-rehabilitation.
Every great achievement starts with a belief—the belief that mobility, independence, and progress are possible. From our earliest days, Synaptic Health has been committed to breaking down barriers and helping individuals redefine what they can achieve. Thanks to you, we’ve reached more people, embraced new innovations, and built a rehabilitation community that changes lives every single day.

Yes, the XoMotion™ is approved by Health Canada, has undergone rigorous testing, and is operated by trained practitioners.
If severe spasticity occurs, the device will pause in a safe position to allow for clinical assessment.
The system allows for a rapid transition from standing to sitting. In urgent situations (e.g., orthostatic hypotension or autonomic dysreflexia), practitioners follow safety protocols to lower the individual and safely transfer them.
XoMotion is controlled by a joystick managed by the supervising practitioner during sessions. This allows people with any degree of hand function to participate in walking using XoMotion.

Through the generous support of a Synaptic donor, XoMotion device will be in-clinic June 2025, but our work isn’t done yet. With the help of our community, we’re raising the remaining $350,000 needed for practitioner training, staff development, software and tech requirements, and research to help other clinics implement the XoMotion in the future.
Your donation to our Transformational Technology campaign means more specialized care for more people, and more advancements in neuro-rehabilitation.
Every milestone we reach is a testament to the power of community, innovation, and determination. Because of you—our supporters, donors, and patients—we’re redefining what’s possible in neuro-rehabilitation.
More clinics across Canada have implemented XoMotion and are treating more people living with neurological challenges. As an early adopter of XoMotion, Synaptic Health empowers other organizations to effectively use the device by leading research, providing training, and educating practitioners and clients about treatment advances. In the future, we hope to make it easier for more clinics across Canada to implement the technology so more people living with neurological challenges can access it.
We’re building a stronger medical community today so more patients can access the treatment they need tomorrow.
